Betterumami gives you a privacy-first analytics platform you can be up and running with in minutes. This guide walks you through every step of account management — from registering and verifying your email, to upgrading your plan and controlling which emails land in your inbox.

Create an account

Sign up for free at betterumami.com/register. You can register with an email address and password, or use Continue with Google to sign up instantly with your Google account.
1

Fill in your details

Enter your email address and choose a strong password, then click Sign up. If you prefer, click Continue with Google to skip the form entirely.
2

Verify your email address

Check your inbox for a verification email from Betterumami. Open it and enter the 6-digit code on the verification screen. The code expires after a short window, so complete this step promptly.
3

Complete account setup

After verification you land on the setup page. You must complete two steps before your account is fully active:
  • Verify email address — confirms your identity and enables all email features.
  • Select data region — choose where your analytics data is stored (Europe or United States). This choice affects data residency and the API region you use later.
Once both steps are checked off, click Continue to enter your dashboard. You can also press Skip setup at the bottom of the screen to proceed immediately and return to settings later.
Your data region cannot be changed after setup. Choose carefully based on where your visitors and your legal obligations are located.

Visit betterumami.com and click Log in. Enter your email and password, then click Log in to access your dashboard.

Reset a forgotten password

1

Open the login page

Go to betterumami.com and click Log in.
2

Click Forgot password?

Below the password field, click the Forgot password? link.
3

Enter your email

Type the email address associated with your account and click Send reset email.
4

Follow the link in your email

Open the password-reset email and click the link inside. You will be taken to a screen where you can set a new password.

Change your password

If you are already logged in and want to update your password, navigate to your Account page (click the profile icon in the side navigation) and click the Change password button.

Subscription and billing

Betterumami uses Stripe as its payment processor. All plans include a 14-day free trial — you will not be charged if you cancel within that window.

Upgrade to Pro

1

Open Settings

Click the profile icon in the side navigation bar and select Settings.
2

Navigate to Billing

In the Settings menu, click Billing. You will see the available plans listed here.
3

Click Upgrade to Pro

Click the Upgrade to Pro button. You will be redirected to the Stripe checkout portal.
4

Complete checkout

Enter your payment details in Stripe and confirm your subscription. After checkout you are returned to the Billing page, which now shows your active plan and next billing date.
If you need an Enterprise plan with higher data limits or custom terms, click the Contact Us button on the Billing page or email sales@betterumami.com.

Manage your plan

To update or cancel your subscription at any time, go to Settings → Billing and click Manage plan. This opens the Stripe billing portal where you can:
  • Cancel your Pro plan
  • Update your payment method
  • Update billing contact information
  • Review your invoice history
  • Download invoices and receipts
Cancelling your plan takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. Pro features (Teams, Email Reports, API keys, etc.) remain active until that date.

Notification preferences

Betterumami sends occasional emails about new product features and platform updates. You can opt out of any of these at any time.
1

Open Settings

Click the profile icon in the side navigation and select Settings.
2

Navigate to Notifications

Click Notifications in the Settings menu.
3

Toggle your preferences

Use the toggles to turn individual email notification types on or off. Changes are saved automatically.
Transactional emails — such as email verification codes and password-reset links — are always sent regardless of your notification preferences.
